Smoke Alarms: As per Queensland regulations new fire alarms must be fitted by 1st January 2027. Failure to do so will impact insurance if there is a fire. The BC will be scheduling an audit- details closer to the date. 

​

Flexi- Hoses: Are used to connect household taps to the water supply, these rubber pipes covered by braided lengths of stainless steel can be found under kitchen or bathroom sinks, toilets, washing machines, plumbed fridges and dishwashers around the home

.* Have you checked yours recently- look for signs of ageing, check for corrosion, rust marks, fraying and kinks,

* If the flexi hose is reaching its warranty period or shows any damage, replace it immediately, ensure proper installation, buy a good quality flexi hose and have it installed by a licensed plumber and check the warranty.

*Water damage caused by leakage from these pipes attracts a $5000 excess payable by the home owner.

Roof Gutter Clean: scheduled by the Caretaker Grant Huston to begin on Monday 30th November 2026.

*Please ensure there aren’t any locked gates so that backyards/courtyards can be accessed for clean-up

*Secure pets inside the property if not at home

*Put any washing inside and ensure windows are closed on the day

*Please ensure no vehicles are parked in the driveways

*Ensure all belongings are protected.

Palm Cleaning and Tree Works: scheduled by the caretaker Grant Huston between 18th and 29th November ensure all cars etc are in garages, any valuable items are clear of tree work areas.

​

Access to the Lake: with the warmer weather approaching residents will be wanting to access the Lake. Waterside residents can access from their deck steps. Safe access for other residents is the Infinity Pool lower deck or the boat access along the Walkway. Swimming is not permitted in the Lake under a covenant over the scheme. 

​

Washing: no washing should be seen from the common property- reminder the Lake is common property. 

​

Common Property- Lakeside homes: please ensure the area between units is clear of personal items. 

​

WH&S Inspection: one item noted was the ruts along the footpath and driveways, caused by owners driving over gardens as they enter and exit their lot. These are considered a trip risk. Grant has filled and replanted these areas. Please be mindful as you enter and exit your driveway.

​

Infinity Pool: is heated from September 1st until the end of November.

​

PLEASE DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE

While feeding wildlife can be enjoyable, it is bad for the animals and will do more harm than good.

Kangaroos are protected native wildlife under the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

In some circumstances, protected animals may be declared as dangerous and restrictions  on human interaction with those animals, such as feeding, may be applied.

Kangaroos are wild animals and should not be fed by humans, as this may cause the kangaroos to:

     a. approach humans for food, potentially endangering themselves

     b. become dependent on humans

     c. become aggressive towards humans when they are hungry

     d. succumb to nutritional deficiencies when fed human food

​

Help keep our wildlife wild by not feeding kangaroos. Council actively discourages the feeding of kangaroos, for the reasons listed above. If you are concerned about someone feeding kangaroos on Council land, please contact the Council.

​

Lately, there have been instances of kangaroos that have been fed, acting in an aggressive manner to some people walking through the area.

​

Please be aware and keep a safe distance from the kangaroos.
